Gaudy Quilt Progress at Quiltworks

Last Thursday me and 5 of my quilting buddies made a return trip to Quiltworks, near Penrith for another Quilt Retreat. It was 3 days of paradise, sewing from morning till evening with delicious meals our only interuption!
This year we decided that as well as working on our own projects we would help Lynne with her sampler quilt - known as 'Gaudy Quilt' due to its bright colour scheme.
The first photo is one from last year so I am using it as a starting point although I suspect she had a few more blocks done.

We were really pleased with our progress as this is the result at the end of the retreat. Only the celtic knot block to finish.
It is going to be a lovely, bright quilt!

Here we are in the Quiltworks studio - it is a lovely workspace.

If you are looking for a venue for a Quilt Retreat - Quiltworks is excellent.

Well I can certainly endorse Quiltworks as a place to go if you need assistance from your quilting friends! Celtic Knot is now finished! Thank you Janet for your part in producing some much needed blocks! Next year - sashing!
