Route 66 Illinois

Yesterday (Wednesday) we continued our Route 66 Trip visiting Funks Grove, famous for its maple syrup, Lincoln, and Springfield.
All the photos in this post are from Springfield. We visited Shea's Gas Station Museum which is still run by Mr Shea who was a WW11 veteran involved in the DDay Landings on Utah Beach.
The first photo shows our car parked outside.

This is a photo of the outside of the museum.
Then we visited the Cozy Dog Drive In where the corn dog was invented. The first photo shows the interior.
And then the famous sign outside.

It is now Thursday here and we are in St Louis Missouri preparing for another day of sightseeing.
