USA quilting update.

One of the main reason for our holiday is to buy quilting related items. On Wednesday I made my first vintage quilt purchase of the holiday. This is actually a quilt top, double bed sized, hand applique. It is of course the dresden plate pattern and I love its scrappiness. So many different fabrics to study. I am guessing that it is 30s or 40s - one of its features is that some of the sections have been pieced suggesting that the maker wanted to use even the smallest scraps.

Here is a close up.
I also bought this vintage feed sack which I will not use in a quilt - I liked it because it was so attractive.

Other purchases include - Elmer's school glue for resist dyeing, quilting magazines, an easy angle ruler, and some hand quilting threads.

Makes me laugh that you've gone all the way there to buy quilting supplies!Sounds like the most expensive shopping trip for craft supplies....laugh!
The quilt looks lovely, I'm jealous!
Hope you have room for all the goodies in your suitcases.
Do you have the boys with you, are they enjoying themselves?
